What's happening with the adoption?

We are currently working on saving the first installment of our adoption program fees, which is $3,300. After we have this amount and finish a bit of paperwork, we will be having a home study. This means a social worker will come to our home to interview us and ensure that our home is safe and suitable to bring home an adopted child.

Then we'll have more paperwork to complete and some adoption training/preparation courses to take. After all this, we will hopefully be "matched" with a child within several months. This means we'll receive information about a specific child and have a chance to review her file with a doctor to decide if we want to accept the referral. If we do, we will finalize paperwork and make travel plans to go get our girl! We anticipate the whole process to take about two years and between $30,000 to $40,000. Thinking about that amount is totally overwhelming, but we trust God to provide as needed.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! We are so excited to see what God has planned for our family, and we are thrilled that you are following along with our journey!
