God answered our prayers quicker than expected! He supplied the money needed for our CARINGS application, and we submitted it yesterday! This is super exciting, as we had expected it to take a couple of months to raise those funds. Thank you so much to those supporting us both in prayer and in finances!! America World Adoption says that it should take anywhere from 3-8 weeks to be approved by CARA (officials in India). After that, we are eligible to be matched! We daydream about the day we receive the e-mail with Eve's information: her photo; location; and as much of her history and medical report as possible.
Some families get matched with their children within days of CARA's approval, and others wait many months. Let's pray for days! ;o)
As excited as we are to bring Eve home, we know that God's timing is perfect. We have a plaque in our home that says "Faith in God includes faith in His timing." That can be a hard truth to swallow at times, but it is certainly true, and it's a necessary reminder while going through the adoption process!
