It's an odd feeling...

Our family has gotten so excited about adoption that it now feels like a family member is missing. The kids thank God that we can adopt and pray for Eve every day. They are excited for the empty sixth chair at our dinner table to be used by their little sister.
The other week, I overheard Levi ask Vada if she enjoys having her own room. She said yes.
"Well, you won't have your own room forever," Levi responded.
"Then I'll be even happier because that means I'll have a sister!" Vada immediately answered.
We pray that God protects our little girl on the other side of the world. She is still so unknown to us, yet somehow it feels like something is missing without her here. How strange to miss someone you've never met...
