Hi everyone from Mumbai! Praise the Lord we finally made it to our hotel in Mumbai!
We had an exhausting journey to get here. The (15) hour flight was a little less spacious than we were hoping. We had to continually shut off the part of our brain that wanted to freak out while trapped 35,000 feet in the air in a small little seat without much leg room.
The food was really good though, and we met a wonderful young man, in the seat next to Anne, studying Engineering in the US and traveling back home to India to surprise his parents. May God bless him!
Everything you may have heard about traffic in Mumbai is true ... and more. Mumbai traffic makes Philly seem like it’s a simple country road. Driving to our hotel made us feel like we were playing Mario Kart without any of the fun. I’m sure our driver would have used some green turtle shells.
We have a day to rest on Thursday and get ourselves organized so Friday we can travel to Eve’s orphanage and pick her up!
